Jon Umstead, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)

Jon Umstead, Senior Vice President and Head of Global BPO, is responsible for the sales and delivery of global business process outsourcing and knowledge process outsourcing (BPO/KPO), as well as expanding both domestic and offshore BPO/KPO operations.

Mr. Umstead joined Covansys in January of 2000. He is an industry veteran with more than 22 years of IT and BPO experience and most recently served as the vice president of the domestic BPO and related business lines that Covansys acquired through its purchase of PDA Software Solutions Inc (PDA) in 2002. During his tenure, PDA nearly doubled in size and revenue, while profits from its operations more than tripled.

Previously, Mr. Umstead served as a project manager and as the financial operations director for Covansys’ Public Sector practice. He began his career as a civilian computer programmer for the Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio.

Mr. Umstead received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science, with a minor in Computer Science from Wright State University in Dayton, and was recently accepted into The Ohio State University Fisher College Executive MBA program. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the State of Kansas Chamber of Commerce since September of 2004.
