COVANSYS OPENS NEW GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN BANGALORE, INDIA Inauguration

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. and BANGALORE, India (August
10, 2005) – Covansys Corporation (NASDAQ: CVNS),
a global consulting and technology services company, is proud
to announce the opening of its new Global Development Center
in Bangalore, India which will consolidate its current Bangalore
centers to accommodate its rapidly growing offshore business.

Covansys has added approximately 1,000 employees in the last year
in Chennai, Mumbai, and Bangalore to meet its client needs. “Our
new center is a direct result of our growth as a company and the
demand for our services in India,” said Covansys-India President
Krishnaswamy Subrahmaniam. “This is an important step in
our 20 year history that will enable us to uphold our ongoing focus
on client commitment and employee satisfaction.”
The decision to consolidate the Bangalore offices in this new
building, located in the most modern business district of Bangalore,
was the next measure for supporting targeted growth. The building
is 250,000 square feet and accommodates over 2,200 professionals.
In addition, the new building is capable of efficiently serving
both client and employee needs. Special attention was given to
the welfare of employees by incorporating a gym, daycare center,
and other features that promote employee morale and commitment.
One of Covansys’ greatest accomplishments this year has
been successfully scaling up to meet clients’ needs. At the
end of the second quarter of 2005, Covansys’ total headcount
in India was more than 4,100 bringing the worldwide headcount to
6,500. The move from multiple centers in Bangalore to a single
building is a direct result of the increased demand for Covansys’ unique
blended delivery model, which is a differentiating factor behind
the steady growth in each of its business sectors.
