MAINE AWARDS $4.5 MILLION DOLLAR VOTER REGISTRATION CONTRACT TO COVANSYS & PCC

State to Utilize ElectioNet™ To Meet Federal HAVA Mandates, Covansys Continues to Dominate Public Sector with Fourth Announced Win

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, February 8, 2005 – Covansys Corporation (NASDAQ: CVNS), a global consulting and technology services company, along with its subcontractors PCC Technology Group (PCC), a leading provider of election management solutions, and Aradyme Corp. (OTCBB: ADYE), a next-generation database company, announced today that it was awarded a $4.5 million contract by the state of Maine Secretary of State’s Office to implement a voter registration system. This is the fourth announced HAVA win for Covansys, which recently announced a $4.6 million voter registration contract with the state of Nevada.

This technology will help Maine’s 503 municipalities meet the mandates set forth by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). HAVA requires that all states put in place a centralized and interactive statewide voter registration system that will be defined, maintained, and administered at the state level by January 2006. The state of Maine’s voter registration system is scheduled to be fully implemented by the end of December 2005.

“Implementing this new system is a significant undertaking for the state of Maine, but the benefits are clear,” said Maine’s Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap. “This voter registration system will enhance the integrity of Maine’s electoral process by improving the quality of Maine’s voter registration list, introducing an efficient and uniform voter registration process, and helping election administrators safeguard voters’ rights. We are very pleased to be working with industry leaders like Covansys and PCC, and are confident that the team will provide us with a cost effective solution that will benefit the state of Maine and its citizens for years to come.”

Covansys will provide the design, development, and implementation of the new system utilizing PCC’s ElectioNet software. The system is expected to provide a number of benefits for the state including:

-         The ability to share voter registration data with other municipalities

-     Interface with state agencies (such as BMV and Vital Records)

-         The facilitation of real-time statewide voter search for all authorized state election officials

-         Detection of duplicate registrations

-         Voter validation and identification (unique identifiers)

-         Digitized signature support and scanning of voter registration cards

-         The ability to generate voter lists

-         Petition management

-         Voter history information

-         Management reporting and standard/custom reports

For the voters of Maine, the system will increase customer service by standardizing and centralizing the registration process and ensuring accurate and consistent registration practices throughout the state. Additional benefits include the ability to support a more streamlined process for absentee ballots for uniformed and overseas citizens, as well as voter signature scanning and voter correspondence.

“With the HAVA deadline less than a year away, there is a demand for vendors that can help states meet the federal mandate. The ElectioNetTM solution is unmatched in the industry, and we’re very pleased that Maine recognizes the value in it,” said Arvind Malhotra, senior vice president of Covansys’ Public Sector Practice. “It can be customized to offer non-HAVA compliant states a straightforward solution that will create better election systems for citizens, with virtually no ramp-up time at all.”

For nearly 20 years, Covansys has provided public sector solutions to more than 47 states plus the Virgin Islands, District of Columbia and Guam in the areas of health and human services, public retirement, public health, motor vehicle services and unemployment insurance systems. To date, Covansys has been selected by six states to implement a HAVA solution including the states of Rhode Island, Idaho, Nevada and New Hampshire.
